Chutney
Chutney is a 15hh skewbald Cob Mare who came to Bransby in 2007 by request of the RSPCA along with 4 other ponies. Chutney now lives with Tracy who loves her to bits.
Tracy has written a little something about her life with Chutney.
"Chutney came to me in October 2011 ...from the minute I first met her I knew we were meant to be together, if I could of drawn my perfect horse it would of been her. |
|
Since arriving Chutney has settled in really well, she lives with Theia (shire mare) who is her bff and her new pet pony Diddy the miniture shetland who follows her everywhere. We ride out regularly and belong to a local riding group, meeting up for some lovely hacks and are constantly discovering the bridleways that we have at our disposal.
Chutney is great in a group or on her own the only thing that makes her jump are birds in bushes! and she does an excited buck sometimes. She is also great for bareback riding. |
|
We will be doing some endurance and maybe a couple of local shows, but the best future event is a 3 day holiday at Field farm with 24 people and 22 horses from the riding group, cant wait to do that gallop on the beach and paddle in the sea.
Chutney is a bit bolshy and has loads of character, we are working on her weight issue and she is losing that extra weight slowly. Chutney is the best and I thank Bransby for letting me give her a home for life. I love my daughters they are my heart but Chutney is my soul". |

Mystery/Terry
Mystery is a 12hh skewbald pony who came to Bransby in 2007 by request of the RSPCA along with 4 other ponies including his mum and dad.
Mystery or Terry as he is now known went to live with his new family in November 2011 and he is loving every minute Terrys new mum has this to say about him.
"Mystery was rehomed with us at the end of November, and since then we have been having a lot of fun with him.
We call him Terry, and my two daughters Madeleine and Georgia have been riding him. We've been out jumping, hacked out on the many bridleways round us and have a planned trip to the beach in a few weeks! |
|
Terry loves nothing better than to be cuddled and loved. My 6 year old Georgia sits bareback on him whilst I muck out, and it's a challenge to get her off him! She loves her "best friend" and spends hours brushing him and loving him. When Terry isnt being spoilt by us, hes out playing with his two friends; Toby and George, in his field.
Thank you for this wonderful chappie!" |

Raggle loves honey flavoured treats when she has been good, she always whinnies when she see’s me and every morning and night I go to see her, she also follows me around!
I love Raggle and would not swap her for anything"

Lorrie is now cared for by Denise who has written a few words about her. "Lorrie arrived at the Old Carpenters Cottage over a year ago and settled in very well, since then she has been for many hours happily hacking over the Lincolnshire Wolds.
She is now a well recognised character throughout the surrounding areas, regularly stopping for a chat with everyone from school children at the bus stop, walkers and farmers.
She is an excellent hack, brilliant with all traffic, forward going without being silly, but not keen on anything black & white
|

i.e. cats, cows etc. Not realising she is also black and white, let's hope we do not pass a mirror whilst out. |

She is full of fun, amusing, loving and trusting and is very much part of our family." |
