New Foal Arrives

Jude was taken in as an RSPCA abandonment in March of this year. She was running with a colt yearling at foot, another mare and two entire stallions. She was quite run down from suckling the yearling and following a pregnancy test was found to be in foal again for this year!

The foal colt, named Mystery, was gradually weaned away from Jude to allow her to recover from suckling and build herself back up to support the current pregnancy. As the staff had no idea when she was covered, no due date was known and staff had to just watch and wait!!  Jude gave birth to a bouncing piebald colt who was named "Alfie". He is very boisterous and strong and is doing very well.
