darcy tails
Darcy Hi, welcome to Darcy's Tails.
Hope you had a nice winter. In the last Darcy's Tails I said that I hoped we would have more snow and my wish came true, but then it never seemed to stop! Luckily my friends and I have grown nice thick coats to keep us warm and protect us from the cold weather.

I have moved home, across the road to the Rehabilitation Barn. Sounds scary, but it's been great fun! I have found a new best friend in Ninky Noo, who lives in the stable next door to me. We get turned out in the field together during the day. He's also a Welsh pony boy like me, but a bit older, he's great fun and loves a game of chase and nip, but he can be a bit bossy sometimes. He says all the naughty ponies come to the rehabilitation barn to get used to lots of new experiences.
I have found a new human friend too – she's called Hayley and she's lovely and gives a great back scratch. She grooms me lots and keeps picking up my feet which sometimes I find ticklish, but apparently it's important that I have to learn to stand still and not kick out when someone holds my leg, so that the farrier can trim my hooves to stop them growing too long. I'm good for Hayley most of the time – but occasionally I wiggle a bit when I get bored.

There's lots going on in the Rehab barn
I love watching the bigger horses go out for rides with people on their backs – all very strange!!! They pull funny faces at me in the stables when they go past – Ninky says it's just because they are grumpy Thoroughbreds!!

Almost forgot to tell you all, I had a lovely September Open day, it was very busy with lots of people stopping by my stable to say hi and give me a cuddle. It was great fun – I can't wait for the next one! I do hope you can call and see me and all my friends.

Darcys tails part 2

Hi , welcome back to Darcy's tails. Hope you guys had a lovely summer; it was great that so many of you came to see me and my pals here. I had my birthday on the 22nd of June and spent the day hanging out with the boys and generally causing mischief.

I've been on my holidays and had a great time. As Hayley went on holiday she decided that I deserved one too. I got turned backed out in the field for two weeks with the boys, Hannibal, Ninky and Spencer. We had lots of fun playing 'biting knees' and racing games.

It was good to see Hayley come back though. I missed her coming to bring me into my stable at night and all the lovely cuddles and scratches she gives me. I didn't miss doing all the silly standing still practice that I still have to do for the farrier though I'm still not sure of him. Her smells a bit funny! Last time he came to trim my hooves Hayley made him give me a nice brush over first which made me feel a bit more relaxed.

One thing I do love though is worming time. Hayley puts a syringe at the back of my mouth and squirts some funny tasting stuff in- it feels funny but I like chewing on the syringe and wiping all the paste over Hayley when she's not looking!

Time to sign off now, until next time; Im worn out after lots of playing.
