Charity information
Our two sites, Bransby and Leominster are at maximum capacity with animal numbers compared to the land and housing facilities that we currently have available. There is currently great pressure on our resources, but in order to provide further facilities at the Bransby site, we are planning to reclaim some land for grazing use and have now converted two disused hay barns into group winter housing. At Leominster we are renting additional land and will continue to look at ways in which facilities can be improved for the animals in our care.
Charity focus
The main focus of this Charity is to be able to continue to care for the animals at its' two sites at Bransby and Leominster and to provide education to help the welfare of horses everywhere. This depends completely on the successful management of the resources that we have available; resources being land, buildings, people, money and much more. I am currently working on a plan for the future that will help us manage those resources more effectively and will enable this Charity to thrive in the future.
The plan
A part of our plan is to develop a policy for conservation and sustainability which as far as practicable will aim to recycle and reuse resources available to us and reduce the impact that the Charity has on the environment. Hopefully you will have noticed our new eco-friendly newsletter which has been printed on recycled paper and the enclosed gift catalogue which has been printed on paper made from a sustainable source and also includes a selection of gifts that have an eco friendly theme to them; the profit from all sales of gifts from the catalogue raising vital funds for the Charity.

New website
We are currently in the process of creating this new website. It is hoped that the website will hold a database of information for our supporters and offer advice for horse owners; it will be a way in which we can communicate with the world and reduce our stationery and postage costs. The content is being updated and modified gradually and over time we hope to build upon the data that we hold for you, our supporters, to enable electronic updates and newsletters to be available; again reducing the impact that this Charity has on the environment.
